After Infant Loss
A gentle, safe place after the loss of your baby, for as long as you need it.
If your baby has died, you are in the right place. I am so glad you found your way here.
Your baby was here. However long you had, months, weeks, days, or only hours, your baby lived, and was held, and was known, and was yours.
You are not meant to survive this alone. Here, you will not have to.

You carry memories that other losses do not. The weight of your baby in your arms. A particular cry. The smell of the top of that little head. These are gifts. Some days they will comfort you, and some days they will cut you, and often both at the very same time.
All of it is welcome here. The photographs you cannot look at yet, and the ones you cannot stop looking at. The nursery you cannot enter, and the small blanket you cannot bring yourself to wash.
Your love was real. It still is. It does not end because the days together did.
There are no stages to move through, and no stairs to climb. There is only your own path, at your own pace, held with love.
Grief after losing a baby does not follow a timeline. Some days you will manage, and some days a song in a store will take your knees out from under you. You are not behind, and you are not doing it wrong.
However you carry this, it is yours, and it is welcome.

Held by Daisy is a warm circle of women and families who know this loss, because they carry it too. Inside, you will find gentle company at any hour, a place to tell your baby’s story and speak your baby’s name, and the When Grief Lands program, a self-paced path through grief in your own voice.
Come and read quietly, or share when you feel safe. However you arrive, there is room for you.
Come and be heldIf you are looking for someone who truly understands, my memoir Until Next Time tells the story of losing my own son, and the love that carried us through. For many parents, it is the book that opens the door.

I want to tell you something I wish someone had told me. Your baby was loved. Your love still matters. And you will not carry this alone.
You are not broken. You are not alone. You are held here.
