After Miscarriage

However early, your baby mattered.

A gentle, safe place after a miscarriage, for as long as you need it.

You are in the right place after your miscarriage

If you have had a miscarriage, you are in the right place. I am so glad you found your way here.

It may have been very early. It may have been further along. It may have happened before you had told a single soul. However it came, and however far you were, your loss is real, and your grief is welcome here.

You do not have to explain it to anyone in this place. We already understand.

The loss the world keeps quiet

Miscarriage is one of the loneliest losses there is, because so much of it happens in silence.

The people who love you may not know what to say. Sometimes they say the wrong thing. At least it was early. At least you can try again. At least you already have a child. Each at least is a small door, quietly closing on your grief.

But you were already a mother. You had already dreamed the whole life. The name. The little shoes by the door. The first day of school. That love was real, and losing it is a real loss. Here, no one will ask you to make it smaller.

However you grieve is right

There are no stages to move through, and no stairs to climb. There is only your own path, at your own pace, held with love.

Some days the grief will be quiet. Some days it will take your breath from across a grocery store aisle. Both are allowed. You are not behind, and you are not doing it wrong.

However you carry this, it is yours, and it is welcome here.

You do not have to walk it alone

Held by Daisy is a warm circle of women and families who know this loss, because they carry it too. Inside, you will find gentle company at any hour, a place to tell your baby’s story when you are ready, and the When Grief Lands program, a self-paced path through grief in your own voice.

Come and read quietly, or share when you feel safe. However you arrive, there is room for you.

Come and be held

A book for the hardest nights

If you are looking for someone who truly understands, my memoir Until Next Time tells the story of losing my own son, and the love that carried us through. For many women, it is the book that opens the door.
